    Description

This is a Ferrari 308GTB (Fiberglass body) original Factory Prestige Sales Brochure.
This Ferrari Brochure includes pages with color photos and 2 "Onion Skin" sheets focusing on the design, engineering
    and specifications.
Ferrari Print Number 120/76, issued in 1976, printed by ARBE, Modena, Italy.
    Version # M0935F14276
The first 308GTB was made in fiberglass in 1976, and then later in steel until 1985.
The 308's body was designed by Pininfarina, the traditioal leader in design, specifically by Leonardo Fioravanti.
Fioravanti was born in January 1938 in Milan, and studied mechanical engineering specializing in aerodynamics and car body design. He worked twenty-four years with Pininfarina, joining as a stylist in 1964, age 26, and eventually becoming Managing Director and General Manager of Pininfarina's research arm for 18 years.
The 308 had a tube frame with separate body. The 308 GTB was mechanically similar, and also shared much with the original Dino. All models used a fully synchromesh 5-speed "dog-leg" manual gearbox and a clutch-type limted-slip differential. Suspension was all independent, comprising double wishbones, coaxial coil springs and hydraulic dampers, and anti-roll bars on both axles; four wheel vented disc brakes were also fitted. Steering was unassisted rack and pinion.
Some of Ferrari's most celebrated shapes to date are the Daytona, the Dino and the Berlinetta Boxer. The 308 used elements of these shapes to create something very special.
