I've spent a lot of time on skis like this in my lifetime, and I'm a huge fan. They used to be called the Slicer, and I had about four pairs of them, so if you're looking for someone to vouch for the overall performance of these skis, I can do that for sure. What seems like an easy and simple ski is in reality so much more. While basic in its essence, the whole of the ski is certainly greater than the sum of its parts. With a wood core and fiberglass laminates, the build is on the easy side, but Dynastar's spring blade technology has a lot to do with the fun-loving performance of the Menace 98. By milling the core, they're able to stack the wood in different thicknesses through the ski, allowing them to properly balance the weight and functionality of the ski. Thicker underfoot and thinner in the extremities, the skis have a light and fun swing weight while the underfoot portion of the ski is all there. The Poplar wood used in the core is very strong and energetic, and it shows in the performance of the ski. At 98 mm underfoot and with tip and tail rocker, the skis are pretty adept floaters. Not too much taper for this ski, so the effective edge is on the longer side. As a result, a 23-meter turn radius in the 181 is on the long side for similarly shaped skis. At the end of the day, it's all about having fun, and the Dynastar Menace 98 is just the ski to get you there.

Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
