Backland 117 delivers ultimate backcountry performance in a wide and lightweight package. At 117mm underfoot this is Atomic’s widest freeride touring ski, but still super light thanks to a full-length Carbon Backbone and Ultra Power Woodcore. The Powder Rocker (wider in the tip and narrower in the tail) and revolutionary HRZN Tech in the tip deliver more surface area for maximum flotation in deep pow. Capable of charging through crud and chop with total confidence, the Dura Cap Sidewall allows for smooth and stable handling on harder snow. They pair perfectly with the 100% mohair Atomic MultiFit Skins, for maximum uphill performance.

Dura Cap Sidewall:
Dura Cap Sidewall construction enhances stability at high speed.
Ultra Power Woodcore:
Made from strong beech and lightweight poplar for supreme running stability and agility.
Directional Shape:
A wider tip than tail measurement.
HRZN Tech:
Blends an ABS Sidewall construction with a revolutionary across the ski (horizontal) rocker to add 10% more surface area in the tip and tail. This delivers less tip deflection and better tracking through chop and crud, without adding any weight making it the best design yet for powder.
Base:
7000-Series sintered bases that are fast on any snow, can stand up to anything, and are easy to maintain.
Edge:
Edges are made from steel five times more wear resistant than standard steel, for strength and perfect grip.
Glossy Topsheet:
Topsheets are lightweight and highly resistant (made 50% from rapeseed oil).
Powder Rocker:
20% Tip Rocker, 70% Camber, 10% Tail Rocker. More rocker in the tip than tail with camber underfoot for a traditional directional feel.

Returns:

All returned Items must be shipped back to us at the buyer expense within 14 days of receipt. The product that you are returning must still be in the original manufactures wrappers and/or box. Your return must be shipped back to us using the same packaging method that it was shipped to you with. Refunds will be given as money back less a 20% restocking charge.
