c1900 Art Nouveau Enameled 14K Gold Pearl Orchid Flower Pin
Presented is an Art Nouveau, 14 karat gold and pearl flower pin from the turn of
the century (c1900). This is  an American piece and was made between 1890 and
1905. The openwork pin is in the form of an  orchid and the center is post set
with a natural pearl. The pin is enameled with translucent green, pink  and red
hues. The old clasp has been replaced, which is the most likely place that the
piece would be  marked. We highly believe this to be the work of Krementz, but
it is not marked because of the clasp  replacement.
This piece has been tested with nitric acid and is guaranteed to be 14 karat
gold purity.
This piece is great overall condition. There is a very little loss of enamel
to the 1 o’clock and the 5  o’clock position, but this is only noticeable upon
very close inspection. There are no other flaws.
The pin measures 7/8 of an inch wide and it weighs 3 grams.
