VINTAGE 1985 MARV-ART CHARMSTONE
SIBERIAN HUSKY REDDISH-BROWN & WHITE
Rare, one-of-a-kind full-base figurine ~~ Authentic Marv-Art Charmstone original "painted master" of
a reddish-brown & white Siberian Husky,
sitting on a pine tree log in the snow
Made and used as the template for creation of commercially-sold
pieces of this breed and design by
Marv-Art Designs, Inc.
Model designation on bottom of figurine is #0339
Certificate of Authenticity (see photos) is included
Beautifully hand painted, this Master is more finely detailed than the figurines sold commercially
Measuring 4" long x 4-1/2" tall x 2-3/4" wide
Figurine base is embossed with artist's signature
Made of Cold Cast Marble in a special method called Charmstone, and designed by naturalist artist Earl Sherwan, well known for his portrayal of dog breeds.
The detailing is truly wonderful.
This Charmstone figurine was hand painted, as were all Charmstone figurines, and is embossed with Earl Sherwan’s signature and the date of manufacture: “© Earl Sherwan ‘85” on the back side of the base.
Marv-Art Designs, Inc. of Farmingdale, N.Y., ended production of their Charmstone figurines and apparently closed their facilities in the late 1980's
There is a tiny 1/4" dimple on the base at the dog's left front paw ~~ barely noticeable (see photo #11). Also a little dip at center front of base (photo #12).
In excellent condition ~~ no cracks, scratches, stains or repairs
