Description

This charming print of
Alaska
is from a rare children’s book, circa 1940, published long before statehood! It depicts an Alaskan Inuit Eskimo dog sledding under a beautiful aurora borealis (Northern lights). The caption reads:
“Sometimes they seem to be great curtains of light.” The dogs look like husky or malamute dog.
This color print is on thick pebbled papers with wonderful color. The color is actually richer and deeper than this scan shows. It has text on the back, but the text is not visible through paper.
This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE item over 65 years old.
The page measures approx. 9.25x11 inches, and the actual image area is about 7.75x8.5inches (19.5x21.5 cm).
This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE antique item.
