Power use: The Belimo LMB 3 wire, power open-power close  motor uses only 2 va of power, and only when in motion. Compare that to spring return motors that use a constant 8 to 10va when energized, and get too hot to even  touch.  The quality is beyond comparison to spring return dampers.  One 40va 24vac transformer can power 20 or more  dampers (compare to three or four spring return dampers).  How? The industry renowned Belimo LMB24 motor uses power only when in motion,  not continously, like a spring return, and never gets warm to the touch.
