    Description

    Twelve (12) Brown /Amber Bottles from 1950s, each approx. 5" tall ~ LATEX POWDER PAINT PIGMENTS for use in tinting paints. Water Soluble.  Possibly these were samples or promos...do not know and can find no other examples.  SatinTone was patented in 1951 by Otto Jensen for Seidlitz Paint & Varnish, Kansas City, MO. Patent numbers: 2539429 and 2722485.  The company has been out of business for decades. I believe these were intended to be used to tint latex paint and one bottle apparently tinted 1 gallon of base paint.
    Antique / Vintage rare product. I thought I was buying tempera powder but this is
    NOT
    tempera and you would not want to give it to children. Be careful when opening a bottle; the powder is extremely fine and even a ceiling fan will cause it to float out a bit.
    Some bottles are labeled, others are missing labels.  I've numbered them so you can compare dry with wet to see the colors included.  Amount still in bottle is approximate.
    A:  Ripple Green #3, 50%
    B:  Cork Tan #?, 55%
    C:  Aqua #14, 85%
    D:  Cameo Pink #9, 25%
    E:  Fawn #38, 50%
    F:  Gray Tone # ?, 45%
    G:  Surf Green #16, 90%
    H:  no label, yellow amber #?, 90%
    I:  partial label Gray Charcoal #?, 45%
    J:  partial label Wheat  #? 12? Yellow Tan, 90%
    K:  no label, brownish gray #?, 30%
    L:  Surf Green #?, 70%
    Note when you clean these, the labels are latex and wash off with water.  Might want to put clear tape over them to preserve.  Weight is approx. 8 lbs.  May use FedEx if cheaper to ship.
