Retrozone’s  MA6 and MA8 Make Up Air System for range hood or other Code-required make up air applications.  Team up the best of motorized dampers with a static pressure switch to allow easy, low cost, and reliable operation  without attempting tie-in to the range hood electrical system.
How it works: Our kits contain 3 parts:
1. A Durozone Motorized  2 wire spring return damper, field reversible to Normally Open or Normally Closed, 5 year Warranty.
2.
A Static pressure switch with probe and tubing.
3.A plug in 24vac, 40 Va
transformer.
You can order just the Static Pressure switch and then team it with any of our Belimo powered SD three wire dampers, and any of out transformers.

Installation: The static pressure switch mounts onto the range hood exhaust  duct above the fan.  Then, drill a small hole in the sheet metal duct, and install the included static pressure probe, and connect the tube from the probe to the static pressure switch.  24vac low voltage operation, use standard thermostat wire.
Then it’s a simple matter of plugging in the UL approved 24vac 40va transformer, and wiring it to the the static pressure switch, and then connecting to the motorized damper that you have installed in the fresh air intake duct.
Operation: Whenever the Range hood or Vent Hood above the cooking surface is switched “on”, the Static pressure switch will close its contacts and open the outside air damper-its that easy. Instructions provided, use standard thermostat wire.
Damper choices:
Actually, any of our motorized dampers will work for this.  The spring return FAD series is the most popular economical choice, while the Retrozone SD Belimo powered 3 wire dampers provide the best long term reliability.

p/n MA6 Kit: Make up air kit includes an p/n FAD-06 inch 2 wire spring return damper,  p/n ADPS pressure switch with static probe, and a plug in p/n 24xfmr plug-in transformer, and instructions.
p/n MA8 Kit: Make up air kit includes a p/n FAD-08 inch  2 wire spring return damper,  p/n ADPS pressure switch with static probe, and a p/n 24xfmr plug-in 24vac transformer, and instructions.
p/n ADPS static pressure switch only, and then order any  SD Belimo LMB24 powered round or rectangular damper,  and a transformer.
