RARE 1 of 1 WW2 Battle Used Military Mess Hall Kit 1944-1945

Description

This is the only known Wheary Incorporated Military Mess Hall Kit with the trunk known to have been used in battle during World War 2 then brought home. The mere handful of others that have sold over the years have been ones that were used for display that never left the states or one of a few surplus kits that were made but never sent out or used.  - Cesco Date 1944.

I recently managed to find another one that was sold here on Ebay back in 2013 which sold for just over ,400 but it was an unused display piece in perfect condition with no character, back story or real history to it. This bulky kit weighs in at 42lbs and had to be lugged around Europe everywhere the men assigned to it went, whether by vehicle transport or even on foot. Whoever the lucky new owner ends up being, once you pick this up to move it you will immediately realize & respect the kind of task that must of been. During the War these kits were used at least twice a day and were the engine that fueled the machine that was our United States Military. These kits kept our men fed and fueled enabling them to achieve the feats and liberate all those they did. Being more important to keeping the men going than any weapon, vehicle, tank or plane, it makes it's hard to argue that any piece of war memorabilia has more importance or was more critical to our success than these overlooked and now unbelievably rare kits were Here you have a very rare chance to own an incredible piece of history whose importance can't be overstated and that actually took part in the war and was used by the troops at least twice a day every day during wartime. (And which someone had to care enough about to go through what it took to keep it in the condition they did and what they had to do to get it and take it back home with them rather than leave and abandon it like was done with practically all the others at the end of the War.

There are so many aspects to this that make it as desirable and valuable as it is; the history its part of, its wartime usage, its daily interaction with the soldiers, its exceptional rarity (possibly the only wartime used kit to be brought back as this was brought back personally by a single soldier as his and along with his personal belongings), also unlike most other war collectibles or memorabilia this rare piece of history is actually 29 pieces that each have their own story, can each be held, observed and talked about & on their own could each take home in a persons or museums collection. It's been unofficially appraised by 6 different War collectors from around Ohio back before I was willing to sell it and their estimated values ranged from ,000 up to ,000 and all of them basically said the same thing; that with its history and extreme rarity, with the right people in the room it's an item that could fetch 3 or 4 times their estimated value.
