    Perfect, RARE WWII COVER FOR SPARE MACHINE GUN BARREL, Maker Stamped & Dated 1943
    DESCRIPTION:
    Particularly RARE  WORLD WAR II military accessory, SPARE MACHINE GUN BARREL COVERE. Machine gun barrels got hot in the midst of action and wore out with use, so a spare barrel WAS ESSENTIAL. So this was the cover that protected the spare. Scans show it all.....
    Made of heavy military O.D. material. Has heavy lower cup sewn in as shown. Nicely stencilled on the side is "COVER, SPARE BARREL COVER, M8.....CRAWFORD MGF. CO. INC. - 1943".
    This is as rare and unusual a WWII accouterment as you are likely to see.  Very rare and A NICE MACHINE GUN ACCESSORY.
    Measures 37 1/2" long by 3" wide. Condition is mint and unused. BEAUTIFUL!!!
