Set of 8 experimental Combat Infantry Badges embroidered on OG-107 material. These are NOT the modern made copies made and sold by NCHS.  They came out of a very old collection of patches I bought back in the 1990's.
In the late 60's early 1970's the Army planned to change the criteria for awarding the CIB.  Although those plans never happened samples were made.  I believe they were only made in cloth. I have never seen them in metal.
