VINTAGE WWI WWII ERA KHAKI KOMFORT KUSHION

Up for sale
is a Vintage  WWI or WWII  Khaki  Komfort  Kushion  from a local estate.  This is a unique piece of military history, I haven't seen this before and it's hard to believe that there are many in
existence
in this clean and unused condition.
Carry Pouch measures about 6" by 4 1/2", the deployed blow up cushion or pillow measures approx 12" by 18".  Patent date of Aug 1900 is embossed on the metal blow up valve.  Original owner has written "Greenville S.C.   Oct 1917" across the front of the pouch.
The black residue on one section of the pillow is from the interior coating of the pouch, this appears to be a black mastic or rubber waterproofing that is drying out from age.  This a black powdery substance that can easily be cleaned off the pillow if desired.
