    Description

    Currently available is this metal M1 A1 Vehicle Ammunition Box for belted .30 Cal. M1 ammunition for either the M-1917 or M-1919 machine gun made by United Metal.  Replacing the earlier wood boxes, the M1 A1 can holds 250 rounds of belted .30 cal. ammunition with a removable hinged lid, a positive airtight latch and gasket with a metal carrying handle at the top with a latch for affixing to the gun bracket on the M-1917 cradle and other vehicle gun mounts.  Used by tanks, armored cars and on other vehicles, this can is in very good used condition with some minor dings.
