    This is a RARE long out-of-print book
    that comes in 8 ½ x 11 staple bound reprint of an otherwise almost impossible to find book.
    Has names and photos of all of the officer in the regiment, and a complete list of the KIAs in the regiment.
    Has photos of all of the company’s in the regiment with good details of each of them.
    The Regiment was constituted 5 August 1917 in the National Army as the 351st Infantry and assigned to the 176th Infantry Brigade of the 88th Division. It was organized at Camp Dodge, Iowa on 30 August 1917, and the Crosby was named to command it. In August 1917, the Regiment was organized with 3,755 Officers and enlisted men:
    Sent up to the lines are Champey and Hericourt. Here they were issued their gas masks and ammunition. On 4 Oct 1918 they packed up and headed out on 40 mile march through the Vosges Forest toward battle.

    of October they were in place in the trenches waiting for the offensive to begin. Their sector was in Alsace and they were barely any trees left standing with acres of barbed wire strewn along in the front of their trenches.

    They fought the German across these no man lands, and through the Argonne Forest, and finally assaulted across the Meuse in November 1918.
    The Doughboys of the Regiment deployed to France as part of the AEF After completing its war service in France it demobilized at Camp Dodge on 7 June 1919.
