    Description

    A program for a permanent exhibit displayed at the Smithsonian, under the auspices and help of the US Army and the National Research Council, during World War 1.  In particular, the exhibit promotes the uses of coal tar extracts, one of which is "war gases" which would be the infamous mustard gas of the war.  The title page reads as follows:
